Former media aide to the late ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad, has disclosed that the All Progressives Congress, APC, needs a political heavyweight like the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike.

Ahmad described Wike as very bold, strategic, and unapologetically decisive.

He made the remark in reaction to Wike’s comment that only President Bola Tinubu can sack him.

Speaking in Obi-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State on Sunday, Wike said Tinubu can sack him when he no longer has anything to offer.

The Minister, who was reacting to calls by critics that he should be sacked, said the people of Rivers State should be proud of his works in Abuja.

However, Ahmad posted on X: “The ruling All Progressives Congress needs a political heavyweight like Nyesom Wike, very bold, strategic and unapologetically decisive.”
