Alleged Rape: ‘Innocent until proven guilty’ – Dbanj says

D’banj has claimed that he is innocent until proven guilty of a rape allegation levelled against him by a lady identified as Seyitan Babatayo.

The video below shows the singer dancing to his hit song titled ‘Olorunomaje” which talks about people wanting his downfall.

In the caption, D’banj who has been heavily bashed on social media over the allegation revealed that he stands against rape and human rights violation.

He said:

“Innocent until proven guilty. STOP SOCIAL MEDIA TRIA. #SAY NO TO RAPE AND HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATION.”

This comes after his rape accuser was reported to have been arrested by the police just hours after the singer demanded an apology and the sum of N100 million on grounds of defamation.

Seyitan took to Twitter where she described the report of her arrest as false.

This was doubted by many who responded with claims that she must have been pressured to tweet a recant.

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Adamu Mohammed has now ordered a probe into the rape allegation.
