CAF is reviewing reports from match officials, security personnel and media representatives to determine the circumstances surrounding the post-match incidents.

Nigeria secured qualification for the semi-finals through second-half goals from Victor Osimhen and Akor Adams.

Tensions flared at full time, with Algerian players expressing anger over what they believed were unfair officiating decisions. Reports indicate that some players attempted to confront referee Issa Sy and his assistants, prompting intervention by stadium security.

There were also reports of unrest among Algerian supporters in the stands, with attempts to breach security barriers and alleged vandalism of parts of the stadium.

CAF is expected to announce its findings and any disciplinary measures after concluding its investigation.
