Ademola Lookman has begun building anticipation ahead of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal showdown between Atlético Madrid and FC Barcelona.

The two Spanish sides recently met in the Copa del Rey semifinal, where Atlético progressed with a 4–3 aggregate victory, winning the first leg convincingly before falling in the return fixture.

Looking ahead to the European encounter, Lookman described the upcoming tie as a special one, stressing the need for proper preparation as his team gears up for the challenge.

Barcelona will host the first leg on April 8, with the return leg scheduled to take place in Madrid on April 14.

Meanwhile, Atlético Madrid manager Diego Simeone praised the Nigerian forward for his contribution in their recent 1–1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur in London.

Lookman provided the assist that led to the equaliser scored by Julián Álvarez, earning commendation from his coach, who credited him for creating the goal.
