ADC “Will Bleed” Post-Convention as Atiku Ticket Spurs Walkouts, Says Baba-Ahmed

 

Former Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Political Matters, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, says the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will “bleed” after its national convention.

Baba-Ahmed made the statement on Tuesday while fielding questions in an interview on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television,
He was speaking on the state of politics in the nation.

According to him, Vice President Atiku will secure the ticket, and when he does, some people will walk out.

He said, “ADC will bleed after its convention because Vice President Atiku will get the ticket, and when he does, some people will walk out.”

Recall that the opposition adopted the ADC in July 2025 ahead of the forthcoming 2027 general elections.

UGAMATV reports that the ADC has a calibre of politicians such as Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar, Rotimi Amaechi, Nasir El-Rufai, Babachir Lawal, and several others.

The ADC has former Senate President David Mark as its National Chairman, former Minister of Interior Rauf Aregbesola as National Secretary, and former Minister of Sports Bolaji Abdullahi as National Publicity Secretary.
