Aba Police Confirm Mysterious Death of 51-Year-Old Passenger in Tricycle

Abia State Police Command has confirmed that it received a report about the death of a female passenger inside a moving tricycle in Aba, on July 29, 2025.
The development was confirmed to UGAMATV by the Police Public Relations Officer, Abia State Command, DSP Maureen Chinaka.

She said that the incident was reported at Police Area Command, Aba, by one Okechukwu Sunday, a tricycle operator and native of Onitsha Ado in Anambra State, but resident in PZ Quarters.
“He reported that while he was on his daily operation as a Keke rider, one Mrs Emmanuel Love Onuora, female, aged 51 years, entered his tricycle as a passenger along Aba-Owerri road.

“Another passenger flagged him down to enter, and both discovered that Mrs Emmanuel Love Onuora had given up the ghost; that was what he reported to the Area Command”, Chinaka said.

She said that upon the report, officers from the Area Command visited the scene and the corpse was deposited in a mortuary for autopsy and preservation, adding that an investigation into the incident was ongoing.
