2023 enugu election: Senator Ekweremadu should be given right to first refusal as far as Enugu state governorship ticket is concerned- comrade fortune ogbonna

As the 2023 election draws nearer, a lot of people have come up with their own opinion of how they think the election should be ran and how it shouldn’t be ran.

In a recent statement released by Comrade Fortune Ogbonna, he has asserted that its time to reward loyalty with Abiding solidarity, and also that Senator Ike Ekweremadu should be given right to first refusal as far as Enugu state governorship ticket is concerned.

Stating his reasons, he said “What Ikeoha has done for the People’s Democratic Party of Nigeria is beyond Selfishness and uncommon leadership. When the people’s Democratic Party became an official opposition party in 2015, Distinguished Senator Ike Ekweremadu took it upon himself to spearhead the rebuilding of the party.

“Fair weather and Stomach Infrastructure mindedly Politicians like Governor Akpabio and a whole lot of political bigwigs fled PDP, but Ike remained loyal and carried the cross of the party for us all.

“He canvassed and crisscrossed the length and breadth of Nigeria Chairing the PDP Peace Reconstruction and Reform committee. The work he spearheaded led to the Renewed and Vibrant PDP that we now have. His efforts brought back big wigs like Senators Saraki and Dino Melaye to mention but a few.

“In Enugu, Senator Ekweremadu respects Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi despite obvious provocations. Supported the policies and programs of the governor from inception to date.
Hence what the People’s Democratic Party NWC should be discussing about Enugu state governorship nomination is the RIGHT OF FIRST REFUSAL for Senator Ike Ekweremadu, not who is the leader of the party in the State.

“We are privileged to have Senator ike Ekweremadu to have hailed from Enugu State. Therefore we are asking for Nothing less than the Right of first refusal for him. He has emerged as a force to be reckoned with in the PDP.

“It’s time to show that the PDP can reward Loyalty with Abiding solidarity”, he concluded.
