Woman arrested after firing shots at singer Rihanna’s Beverly home

A woman was taken into custody Sunday, March 8, after allegedly firing multiple shots at singer Rihanna’s residence in Beverly Crest.

The incident occurred around 1:21 p.m. at a home on the 9500 block of Heather Road. Police said an unidentified woman drove to the property and discharged several rounds.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) reported that the suspect fired between seven and nine rounds from an AR-15-style rifle, with four rounds striking the house. Investigators were seen examining an Airstream trailer parked in the driveway.

Police say the suspect, a woman in her 30s, stopped in a car outside the home and fired seven shots before speeding away.

Her vehicle was located about eight miles (12km) away from the singer’s home, where the woman was taken into custody. She has not yet been publicly identified.

The LAPD confirmed that Rihanna was home at the time of the shooting, but no injuries were reported. The suspect was taken into custody.

The department said that investigators from its Robbery-Homicide Division will handle the case.
