A disturbing video has surfaced online showing the charred remains of a man’s home in the Choba area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, allegedly set on fire by his girlfriend.

 

In the video, a female voice, presumably the person recording, claims that the man was lying down when his girlfriend, in a fit of rage, set the room on fire. The exact cause of their conflict was not disclosed.

 

Expressing shock and disapproval, the woman behind the camera said:

 

“Dem say relationship no be by force o. Marriage no be by force o. See wetin one nonsense girl wan do to her boyfriend o… she wan burn the boy to ashes. If man dey beat you, go. If woman dey beat you, go. But my people no dey gree. You carry your boyfriend when dey lie down, put am fire!”

 

 

 

The video has since gone viral, drawing widespread condemnation and sparking conversations online about domestic violence, relationship boundaries, and mental health.
