A Hausa-Fulani group within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State has resolved a long-standing internal crisis that had divided its members for years. The group has now pledged to work together in unity to ensure the success of the PDP in the 2027 general elections.
In a communiqué issued after its meeting on Tuesday and signed by the PDP Hausa–Fulani Reconciliation Committee, the group announced that all internal differences had been resolved, marking a new era of cooperation and progress.
Chairman of the PDP Reconciliation Committee, Alhaji Bello Nakande, disclosed that after a series of constructive engagements, all stakeholders agreed to reconcile and operate as one united family in support of Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s administration.
The communiqué commended the immediate past Chairman of the state PDP, Chris Adakuchili Hassan, and the outgoing State Executive Committee (SEC) for their leadership and contributions toward strengthening the party.
“We want to use this medium to congratulate the outgoing Chairman of the PDP, Hon. Chris Adakuchili Hassan, and the State Executive Committee for their sacrifice, resilience, and strategic leadership. They were a source of inspiration to party members across Plateau State,” the statement read.
The group also congratulated the newly elected State Chairman of the PDP, Raymond Dabo, while condemning what it described as a malicious campaign of calumny allegedly sponsored by opposition figures who falsely claimed that Dabo was a convicted individual.
“Let us also use this medium to clarify that Dabo was duly discharged, cleared, and acquitted by a competent court of law. The allegations by the APC are desperate attempts to distract our great party from its renewed mandate of service and inclusiveness,” the communiqué added.
The group reaffirmed its unwavering support for the administration of Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, commending his people-oriented governance and commitment to peace, unity, and development in Plateau State. It also pledged to work tirelessly for his re-election in 2027.
“With renewed energy and shared purpose, we stand united to support the PDP and ensure its triumph in all forthcoming political engagements and elections for the benefit of our people and our beloved Plateau State,” the statement concluded.
