Buba Galadima, a prominent figure in the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has revealed that President Bola Tinubu approached him multiple times with requests to join his administration, but he turned them down.
During an interview with AIT on Wednesday, Galadima said Tinubu personally asked him on four different occasions to work for him, but he refused each time.
He also shared how President Tinubu helped his daughters secure employment after they reached out to him to express their struggles with the economic hardship and lack of job opportunities in the country.
Galadima explained, “Perhaps due to the nature of our relationship, I felt I couldn’t be completely honest with him or speak truthfully to his face.”
He recounted an instance during the funeral of Obaigbhena’s mother, where Tinubu left his seat and approached him with the same request. Despite the persistent offers, Galadima maintained his stance.
The elder statesman also took a swipe at former President Muhammadu Buhari, revealing that his daughter worked for Buhari under former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s office for four years without receiving any salary.
