Former Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur striker Peter Crouch has tipped Arsenal to suffer defeat against Sunderland in their upcoming Premier League clash this weekend.
Sunderland will host Arsenal at the Stadium of Light on Saturday evening. The home side heads into the game following a draw with Everton, while Mikel Arteta’s men are coming off a victory over Burnley.
Speaking on his podcast, Crouch predicted that Sunderland would pull off a surprise 1–0 win over the Gunners.
“I think going there, the crowd will be up for it. The players — it’s their cup final,” he said.
“I need something big and I am going to go with Sunderland 1–0. I’m willing to die on this sword.”
The match is scheduled to kick off at 6:30 p.m. (Nigerian time).
