Police rescue Chinese national who was abducted in Abia

A Chinese national abducted in Abia state has been rescued by the police. 


The command Public Relations Officer, ASP Maureen Chinaka, said the Chinese national, Mr Li Peiyin, who was abducted on May 31, “was rescued by a joint security team in good condition on Monday”.

A security team launched a manhunt after Peiyin who was the site Manager of a quarry in Lokpanta, Umunneochi Local Government Area, was abducted while driving in a Caterpillar without security escort.

 The team has sustained the manhunt for the abductors.
