The Governorship Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Enugu State, Chief Ocho Obodoeze, popularly known as Ochoudo, has dedicated his 2027 governorship ambition to God as he led party leaders, candidates and supporters to a grand Thanksgiving Mass at St. Theresa’s Cathedral, Nsukka.
The thanksgiving service, held to appreciate God for his emergence as the ADC governorship candidate for the 2027 general election, marked the third and final leg of his zonal thanksgiving tour across Enugu State.
Having earlier held similar thanksgiving services in the Enugu East and Enugu West Senatorial Zones, the Nsukka event brought the tour to a grand conclusion in the Enugu North Senatorial Zone, Ochoudo’s home base.
The Cathedral was filled to capacity as ADC faithful and members of the G24 for AA/Ochoudo 2027 movement gathered from across the three senatorial zones to celebrate, offer prayers and reaffirm their commitment to the 2027 political project.
The massive turnout further reinforced the growing momentum behind the Ochoudo 2027 campaign, with supporters declaring that “the lion is set to roar” in the 2027 governorship election.
Among the dignitaries at the event were the ADC Enugu State Caretaker Chairman, Gen. Chris Eze (rtd.); State Caretaker Secretary, Comrade AC Ude; State Organising Secretary, Lolo Ngozi Nwankwa; Director-General of the Ochoudo 2027 Campaign Organisation and former Udi Local Government Chairman, Hon. Walter Oji; ADC Enugu North Zonal Chairman, Prince Achalabuagu; and the State Coordinator of G24 for AA/Ochoudo 2027, Hon. Paul Anigbogu, Arc. Obi Ikowa.
Also present were several ADC candidates and leaders, including Dr. Maurice Ede (Iyala Iyala), Evangelist Juliet Ani, Hon. Angela Dilioha, Hon. Nwankwo Kenechukwu, Barr. Chidi Ngwu, Olom Dumebi Immanuel, as well as numerous other party leaders and supporters from across the state.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Ochoudo dedicated his candidacy and the entire 2027 political journey to God, while assuring the people of Enugu that his administration would be anchored on “Service, Not Salary.”
He identified workers’ welfare, improved healthcare delivery and grassroots development as key priorities of his vision for the state.
Speaking on behalf of the ADC, the State Chairman, Gen. Chris Eze (rtd.), and the State Secretary, Comrade AC Ude, commended Ochoudo for his humility, inclusive leadership and commitment to carrying party members along.
They further assured that the ADC remained united, focused and fully prepared to challenge for the Government House in 2027.
The G24 Coordinator, Hon. Paul Anigbogu, said the massive turnout at the thanksgiving service demonstrated that the grassroots had embraced the Ochoudo 2027 project.
With thanksgiving services now successfully concluded across the three senatorial zones, the ADC in Enugu State is set to intensify its grassroots mobilisation and preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
