Nigerian Idol: Brodashaggi fumes at judges as lady who quit her job for the show gets harsh words

Ace Nigerian comedian, Brodashaggi has fumed at the judges of the ongoing reality TV show, Nigerian Idol following the ill words they used on one of the contestants, Onyinyechi Okereafor who quit her job for the show and afterward failed to impress the judges during her performance.

19-year old Onyinyechi Okereafor after her performance in front of the judges got a big ‘no’ from them but what got many eyebrows furrowed was the choice of words used by one of the judges, Seyi Shay, and how she walked away on the girl, alongside her colleagues DJ Sose and Obi Asika. In Seyi Shay’s words:”This is the Nigerian Idol, this is a huge platform. This is the biggest platform you can ever be on in your life, girl. You don’t quit your job if you haven’t even entered the first round.” She went on to leave the place as other judges followed suit leaving the poor girl devasted at the performance ground.

Those words didn’t sit well with Brodashaggi as he took to the comment section to pour out his heart. “This is so heartbreaking I’m sorry 💔. Please if this audition ain’t scripted which I believe it’s not, Judges should be mindful of their use of words. A “NO” can be said in thousand ways. Say it to her and make her believe she can work on herself not make her feel this way I feel right now. Sorry if I talk too much but mehn,” he wrote.

Also, Nollywood actor Junior Pope reacted to the incident as he called out Seyi Shay openly and asked her to apologize to the girl for using such harsh words on her.”Seyi Shey needs to apologize to this girl now else that apology will come later in the nearest future when this girl would have been big. Any which way apology must be rendered (See Question; Have You Ever Won). Pls We all shine differently,” he wrote.
