The Kaduna State Government has strongly refuted claims by former governor Nasir El-Rufai that all the recently commissioned projects in the state were initiated under his administration.
In a statement released by Ibraheem Musa, Chief Press Secretary to Governor Uba Sani, the government described El-Rufai’s remarks as false and misleading, accusing him of deliberately distorting facts for political gain.
Titled “El-Rufai and His Litany of Lies”, the statement clarified that the projects commissioned by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during his recent visit to Kaduna were fully conceived and executed by Governor Uba Sani’s administration.
Specifically, the government listed three major projects commissioned by the president:
The Bola Ahmed Tinubu Specialist Hospital, Kaduna
Three Institutes of Vocational Training and Skills Development
100 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Buses
The statement emphasized that the vocational institutes, Abdulkadir Balarabe Musa Institute in Rigachikun, Col. Dangiwa Umar Institute in Soba, and Sir Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa Institute in Samaru Kataf, are core elements of Governor Sani’s human capital development strategy.
“These institutes are key to equipping the youth of Kaduna with practical, future-oriented skills, and they were initiated and completed under Governor Uba Sani’s leadership,” the statement read.
The government said it was necessary to set the record straight to prevent misinformation and ensure credit is accurately attributed.
