IRI JI OFURU: NDI OZO TSC ADVISES IGBO YOUTHS  TO EMBRACE TRADITION AND PROMOTE IGBO CULTURE.

Igbo youths have been advised to embrace the Igbo tradition and culture so as to preserve the rich heritage of Igbo land.

The National Chairman, Ndi Ozo, Toscana Sports Club (TSC), Ozo Galaxy Nwaude, gave the advice at the new yam festival (Iri Ji Ofuru) organized by titled men of the club.

Ozo Galaxy explained that the Ozos’ are the pillars of custom and tradition saddled with the responsibility of ensuring peace and progress in society by being truthful and just in all ramifications.

Also speaking, Chief Chukwudi Onyia, (Alhaji Nwaobi) said the event is to showcase the rich Igbo culture and a way of teaching the younger generation about the Igbo custom.

In a remark, Ozo Malaga said that the event is to preserve tradition and foster unity, noting that the Ozo title is a call for purification and sanctity.

Similarly, Ozo Benjamin Nnamani said the Ozo title is a symbol of authority and leadership, and those honored with the title represent truth, justice, and fairness.

Describing Toscana Sports Club as a brotherhood of shared prosperity, Mr. Ifeanyi Ejoh (Igwe Toscana) said that the club shares love for a living, noting that the Iri Ji festival is one of the ways of bringing members and friends of the club together to celebrate.

Also speaking, a member of TSC, popularly known as Barry Nwankanu, stated that iri ji is a way of giving thanks for a bounty harvest.

The event was graced by Enugu state ALGON Chairman and Nkanu East Chairman, Hon. Okechukwu Edeh, who was accompanied by Hon. Nze Phillip Okoh, Chairman Udi local government, among other notable personalities.
