Former Rep Deputy Minority Leader Hon. Toby Okechukwu on Wednesday commissioned Umuchibu asphalted road in Egwu-Achi community in Oji river local government area of Enugu state.
Hon. Okechukwu while speaking to UgamaTV after commissioning the project, emphasized that the he will continue to do his best in ensuring rural and sustainable development.
Hon. Okechukwu is one of the few politicians who have commissioned numerous infrastructural projects months after serving Awgu/Aninri/Oji Federal constituency at the House of Representatives.
Earlier in his address the Traditional Ruler of Egwu Achi kingdom, HRH Igwe Victor Ezekwesili Meniru ( Eze Dunu II of Dunu Kingdom) thanked Sen. Ike Ekweremadu (Ikeoha Ndigbo) and Hon. Okechukwu for their contribution in developing the community, called for more government intervention in other critical sectors.
Stressing the need for government presence in the community, the President General of Egwu Achi Community, Elder B.C Davidson said that the community, celebrated the Yuletide in the dark due to breakdown of power supply, needs portable water and a secondary system of Education in the community.
Other Dignitaries present at the event were HRH Igwe Timothy Gbugu (Eze Chinemeze 1 of Amankpunato Achi), Dr. Godwin Udeuhere, Enugu state PDP Secretary, Hon. Cletus Akalusi, former Enugu state house assembly member, Hon. Chinedu Otaka among others.
