Highlife Legend Mike Ejeagha Buried in Enugu Within 24 Hours, It Was His Dying Wish Son Confirms

Veteran Nigerian highlife singer, Gentleman Mike Ejeagha, has been buried 24 hours after his death.

Ugamatv reports that the 95-year-old musician died on Friday, June 6, 2025, after a prolonged battle with prostate cancer.

Ejeagha was buried on Saturday, June 7, 2025, in Umuagba, Imezi-Owa area of Enugu State.

Emmanuel Ejeagha, the deceased’s first son, explained that his father was buried within 24 hours according to his last wish before death.

“My father made a wish that he should be laid to rest 24 hours after death. And I reached out to my family. Even Governor Peter Mbah was aware, and they all consented that whatever his wish should be kept,”, he told the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN.

Emmanuel Ejeagha further announced that his funeral ceremonies will be made known later.
