The Association of Emeritus Lawmakers of the Enugu State House of Assembly, AELESHA, has congratulated Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah on his third anniversary in office, describing his administration’s achievements as transformative and impactful.
At its plenary session held on June 3, 2026, at the Enugu Sports Club, the association, comprising former Speakers and principal officers of the State House of Assembly, commended the governor for major developments across key sectors of the state.
The lawmakers highlighted projects such as Enugu Air, modern bus terminals, urban and gateway road networks, the construction of Smart Schools and Type Two Hospitals in all 260 electoral wards, the New Enugu Smart City project, the International Conference Centre, and the ongoing revival of the Presidential Hotel.
They also praised the administration’s commitment to education through increased budgetary allocation and the establishment of the Haier Factory, a twenty-million-dollar assembly plant for laptops, smartphones, and related spare parts.
AELESHA further applauded the 042 Ride Taxi Youth Empowerment Scheme, noting that it would create sustainable employment opportunities for young people while improving transportation services across the state.
The association expressed delight over Governor Mbah’s support for Rangers Football Club, describing the club as a symbol of Igbo resilience, courage, and identity.
Chairman of the association, Rt. Hon. Chiedozie Alex Ogbonnia, said the governor’s achievements have continued to position Enugu State on the path of rapid development and progress.
