Former Abia Govenors Senators Orji Uzor Kalu and T.A Orji reach a resolution with their supporters to sue Governor Alex Otti for operating from his private residence

Former Abia Govenors Senators Orji Uzor Kalu and T.A Orji have reached a resolution with their supporters to sue Governor Alex Otti for operating from his private residence in Nvosi, Isiala Ngwa South LGA.

Sources familiar with the discussions say the proposed suit is being considered within the context of broader political realignments ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Abia State. No formal court filing has been confirmed as of the time of this report.

The reported development has also revived public scrutiny of the periods during which both former governors held office. During those administrations, it was alleged that Abia State faced documented infrastructural deficits, including deteriorating road networks and reported delays in the payment of public-sector salaries, in some cases spanning up to 8 months.
