
The Deputy minority leader, House of Representatives, Rt.Hon Toby Okechukwu has extended his heartfelt condolences to the surviving family of late Chief Fabian Nwafor.
Late Chief Fabian Nwafor was the CEO and Founder of Aston villa Group of hotels. A bonafide son of the Awgu soil. In his years, he was quite reputable, he was known for his honest, hardworking and kind nature.
Onyeukwu as he was popularly called by friends, was a gentleman,a dependable,loyal friend and ally, one whom was accomodating to all and sundry, not considering social and class differences. It is said that he was a man of peace,trustworthy and philanthropic, his magnanimous nature earned him a chieftancy title of “ANYA AWGU”.
UGAMATV gathered all these through letters of condolence, shared by friends and families of the deceased, amongst which is the honourable representing Awgu, Aninri and Oji river federal constituency, Rt. hon.Toby Okechukwu.
IN his letter, Rt.Hon Okechukwu, reminisced over several memories he shared with the deceased, he outlined lots of developmental feats achieved for the LGA,as well as, the community, by the deceased and his friends. He didn’t fail to mention that the late chief was a benevolent man, who had the interest of his people at heart.
Furthermore, he termed late chief Fabian, “a brother who was a brother”, with him, he said “you do not have to watch your back”. he also described him as a man of great and remarkable antecedents,one whose legacy will not be forgotten. “he led an eventful and productive life”, Okechukwu wrote.
He regretted that his ally was not alive to witness the fulfillment of their shared dreams, as he died on sunday, 28th june,2020. However,he took solace from the fact that he lived a selfless and committed life, which is deserving of a bountiful reaping in the bossom of the lord.
