“Enugu Reclaims the National Stage: Tinubu’s Ministerial Nomination of Dr. Kingsley Udeh Validates Governor Mbah’s Transformational Leadership” — Isi-Uzo Chairman Hails Appointment as a Triumph for Vision, Competence, and State Rebirth

Enugu State once again took a proud step onto the national stage as President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu nominated Hon. (Dr.) Kingsley Udeh, the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice of Enugu State, for appointment as Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria — a development that has sparked widespread celebration across the state and beyond.

The news, which broke on Tuesday, has been hailed as both historic and richly deserved, symbolizing not just personal achievement but also the steady realization of Governor Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s vision to restore Enugu’s prominence in Nigeria’s governance and political landscape.

Reacting to the development, the Executive Chairman of Isi-Uzo Local Government Council, Hon. (Barr.) Chibuzo Obeagu, described the nomination as “a new dawn for Enugu State and a resounding affirmation of Governor Mbah’s transformational leadership.”

“Dr. Udeh’s nomination is not only a recognition of individual brilliance but a collective triumph for the entire Enugu State,” Obeagu said. “He is a man of intellect, integrity, and patriotic depth whose public service record reflects diligence, commitment, and vision.”

Mbah’s Vision for Enugu Paying Off

Hon. Obeagu emphasized that the nomination was a direct outcome of Governor Mbah’s strategic leadership, which has repositioned Enugu for national relevance through purposeful governance, competence, and engagement at the highest levels of national discourse.

“Governor Peter Mbah has, through foresight and bold leadership, restored Enugu’s rightful place in Nigeria’s political equation,” he noted. “By identifying and nurturing leaders of proven capacity like Dr. Udeh, he has reignited national confidence in Enugu’s potential and reaffirmed our collective stake in Nigeria’s governance structure.”

The Isi-Uzo Council boss lauded Dr. Udeh’s illustrious career in law and public service, describing his elevation as the reward of excellence, hard work, and dedication to duty. He highlighted the Attorney-General’s profound understanding of justice administration, governance, and national policy formulation — qualities that, he said, would bring immense value to the Federal Executive Council (FEC).

“Dr. Udeh’s nomination reflects the depth of talent and integrity that Enugu State represents,” Obeagu added. “His experience and intellect will not only advance the cause of justice and governance at the federal level but will also project the excellence for which our State is now known.”

Tribute to Leadership and Legacy

Hon. Obeagu also expressed deep appreciation to Governor Mbah for what he termed a vision-driven rebirth of Enugu’s voice in national affairs, describing the development as “a victory for courage, strategy, and purposeful leadership.”

“This is more than an appointment — it is a testament to a leader who has rebuilt the bridge between Enugu and the center,” he declared. “Governor Mbah’s style of governance continues to inspire hope, competence, and renewed confidence in the destiny of our people.”

He extended heartfelt congratulations and prayers to Dr. Kingsley Udeh, expressing confidence that the nominee will bring honour, innovation, and national pride to Enugu State as he assumes his new ministerial responsibilities.

“We are proud of Dr. Udeh’s journey and we have no doubt he will distinguish himself in service to the nation. This is indeed a victory for every Enugu son and daughter who believes in the rebirth of our State,” Obeagu concluded.

Signed:

Hon. Barr. Obiora Chibuzo Obeagu

Chairman, Isi-Uzo Local Government Council
