The Deputy Chairman of Awgu Local Government Area, Dr. Stanley Uchenna Ezediuto, has called for consistency and integrity in public commentary, cautioning social critics against using their platforms to peddle sentiments and blackmail under the guise of activism.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Dr. Ezediuto indirectly addressed popular social commentator, Okwuluora, urging him to uphold objectivity and fairness in his assessment of government actions.
“Dear Okwuluora, with due respect, consistency is a mark of integrity. You cannot sing praises in the morning and turn around in the evening to throw stones simply because some personal demands are yet to be met,” Ezediuto stated.
He emphasized that Governor Peter Mbah’s administration has remained focused on its transformative agenda — tackling insecurity, expanding infrastructure, reforming taxation, and driving digital governance to reposition Enugu as a modern and productive state.
According to him, such systemic reforms require courage, patience, and strategic planning rather than noise or emotional reactions.
“The people of Enugu deserve truth, not theatrics. Constructive criticism is welcome, but blackmail disguised as activism does not help the poor masses you claim to speak for,” the Deputy Chairman added.
Dr. Ezediuto reaffirmed his confidence in Governor Mbah’s leadership, describing it as visionary and disciplined, with clear focus on sustainable progress.
“Leadership is not about sentiments; it’s about vision, discipline, and sustainable progress. On that front, Enugu is clearly on the right track,” he concluded.
The statement comes amid rising public conversations on the pace and style of governance in Enugu State, as stakeholders continue to assess the impact of Mbah’s reform-driven administration.
