Enugu APC’s Multiple Lawsuits May Result in No Candidates for Upcoming General Election

Comrade A.C. Ude, the pioneer Deputy State Chairman and Main Stream Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State, has been at the centre of a leadership dispute rocking the party. According to Ude, he was the authentic winner of the chairmanship position in the APC Enugu State chapter, following a contentious state congress held on October 16, 2021.

However, Ugochukwu Agballa, who was not a registered member of the APC at the time, began to parade himself as the winner, sparking outrage among some party members. This led to a civil suit, Uduji Kingsley Godwin vs. Mr. Ugochukwu Agballa & 3 Ors, filed at the Federal High Court in Abuja by the party’s counsel, Chief Chukwudi Igwe.

3.    Whether Ugochukwu Agballa validly contested for the chairmanship position of APC,Enugu state chapter, during the October 16, 2021 state congress under the former chairman of APC, Enugu state chapter.
4.    Whether Mr. Ugochukwu Agballa was validly declared as the winner of the chairmanship position of APC, Enugu state chapter.
5.    Whether A.C. Ude was the winner of the chairmanship position of APC Enugu state chapter, during the October 16, 2021 state congress conducted under the former chairman of APC, Enugu state chapter.
