Britain Pays Tribute to Nigeria’s Late Leader Buhari

 

The British High Commission in Nigeria on Monday issued a condolence message following the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari, who passed away on Sunday in a clinic in London, United Kingdom.

This was in a brief statement posted on the British High Commission Nigeria’s official X account.

The Commission expressed condolences to the late Buhari’s family and the Nigerian government.

“The British High Commission in Nigeria mourns the passing of the former president, HE General Muhammadu Buhari GCFR.
“Our condolences go out to his family, the people of Nigeria, and the Nigerian government,” it wrote on X.

UGAMATV reports that Buhari died in a London clinic on Sunday.

The United States of America, China, and several other foreign embassies had earlier sent condolences to the Nigerian government and the family of the late president.
