APC CHIEFTAIN JESUTEGA ONOKPASA PASSES AWAY

Prominent lawyer and political commentator Jesutega Onokpasa, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has died. The news was announced on Tuesday by Okezie J. Atañi, a staunch APC supporter, via a social media post.

Onokpasa, who served on the APC’s Presidential Campaign Council Publicity Committee in 2023, passed away under circumstances that have not yet been disclosed. He was widely known for his vocal political analysis and unwavering defense of President Bola Tinubu, frequently appearing on television to support the administration.

However, in a recent shift, Onokpasa publicly withdrew his support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections, citing escalating insecurity, economic challenges, and what he perceived as the President’s neglect of loyal party members.

His de@th has sparked reactions from political circles, with many mourning the loss of a passionate and outspoken figure in Nigerian politics.
